This vehicle was new to Aldershot & District in 1964, and was based at Aldershot.  A&D became part of the National Bus Company in 1970, and was merged with Thames Valley to form Alder Valley, where the bus continued operation for a number of years before being withdrawn.  It was sold to Prestatyn Coachways, and then to Locke School of Motoring in Newton Abbot, Devon.  The vehicle then moved north to Huddersfield, from where it was rescued by the present owners in 1999.  The bus was then stored in Northampton and a considerable amount of work was carried out to make the vehicle roadworthy.   It was then moved south under its own power for major restoration work to begin.
