PRESERVED BUSES & COACHES

REG ETL 221
MAKE BEDFORD
MODEL OB
YEAR 1950
BODY Plaxton C29F
OWNER Edwards of Llanon
HISTORY Delivered new to Gem Coaches of Colsterworth, Lincolnshire.  It was purchased in scrap condition in 1987, and having been restored, is with its current owner in mid Wales.  It has a Plaxton built body, and this example is thought to be one of only two Plaxton OBs to survive - the other one being EAJ 679 owned by Ray Lockett of Henfield, West Sussex.

This photo shows the subtle differences in the front body styling between the
Plaxton-bodied ETL 221 in the foreground and the Duple-bodied green LDV 483 next to it.

Above photo taken at: Great Dorset Steam Fair, Blandford Forum.
Taken on: 31st August 2002
