HISTORY | New to Southport Corporation in 1950, it remained in service until 1970 after which it was used for driver training until 1974. From then until 1982 it resided at the Steamport railway museum in Southport, and was used for trips by the museum's enthusiasts group. After that it lay unused because of a fuel problem until purchased by Ian Garforth in 2007 who rectified the problem. It was then purchased in 2008 by Chris Pearce of Southdown Historic Vehicles who repainted the vehicle for the first time since 1974. |
