HISTORY | This vehicle entered service for London General in 1930, and was taken over by London Transport in 1933. During the period 1941 to 1944 the vehicle was loaned to a Midlands operator. Upon return to London, the vehicle was put back into service until 1946. In 1947 it became an LT staff canteen, but was finally withdrawn in 1954 and rested in a scrap yard until 1966 when it was purchased for restoration. After restoration in the 1970s, she was operated by London Transport on daily summer-season sightseeing tours around the capital. She is now in retirement at the London Bus Museum. |
