HISTORY | This vehicle was one of 266 to enter Green Line service during 1938/9, becoming the standard Green Line coach until replaced by the RF type in the early 1950s. Allocated to Stains garage in 1938, the vehicle was used as an ambulance during WWII, along with most of the class. She was returned to Green Line duties in 1946, but in 1951 the vehicle was painted red and used as a bus from Kingston garage. She was finally withdrawn in 1954. She was acquired for private preservation in 1968, and came to the London Bus Museum in 1976. |
